Stanley William Pizio was born on July 31, 1909 in Fall River, Massachusetts, USA. He is the son of Grzegorz "George" Pizio (1884-1973) and Agnes Dubyna Pizio (1885-1960). He had siblings Stella, Walter, Joseph, William Chester, Edward Stanley, Helen, Nellie, Josephine Agnes, and Jane Helen Pizio. He lived all of his life in Fall River, Bristol, Massachusetts and in 1939, he married Florence K Pavao (1914-1996). They had an infant girl who did not survive (1941-1942) and a son, Stanley Joseph Pizio (1951-1989). Stanley enlisted on December 15, 1943 in Boston, Massachusetts. He worked as a carpenter.
