Sarah Rebecca (Custer) Sturtz was born on September 16, 1863 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania United States to Samuel Edward Custer and Mary Ann Stull, and had siblings William W. Custer, Mary Custer, Harvey Custer, Ulysses Grant Custer, Susan Custer, John A. Custer, Ananias Custer, Elizabeth A. Custer, Catherine Custer, and Samuel Edward Custer Jr.. She married John W. Sturtz, and had a child Annie May Sturtz. Sarah Sturtz died at age 49 years old in 1912.
