We always knew him as Bob, so here is a paragraph about him. I have much more for later: Bob was always pushing me to my limit about being brave and confronting my fears. As I mentioned before, I have always been afraid of high places. So one day when we were at a carnival and I was 10, Bob said, “Go with me on that” as he pointed to the scariest ride I ever had seen. The people were screaming as the Loop o Plane looked like it was going to slam into the ground. I stepped back and refused to go. Again he insisted and I said, “I am afraid!’ I was about to cry when he said, “I will give you a dollar if you go on it with me.” Well, in those days a dollar bought a lot, so against my better judgment I agreed. It was the scariest thing that ever happened to me. I screamed, too, not with excitement but for actual fear that I would die. It seemed to go on forever. Each time it made a loop we were diving straight down into the ground. I got the dollar, but that little lesson did not make me less afraid of high places.
