Hannibal Hamlin was the Vice Presidential nominee on the Republican ticket with Abraham Lincoln. This is a campaign button for that race - Lincoln's photo was on the opposite side (see that photo on AncientFaces). This campaign button was for the 1860 Presidential Race.

Hannibal Hamlin was Vice President for Lincoln's first term (Johnson was Vice President for his second term) and never met Lincoln until after they were elected.
