Aanund Torjussen Rysstad of Aust-Agder Norway was born on September 18, 1898 in Moland-Herad to Torjus Aanonssen Rysstad and Sigrid Tellesfdotter Aanundsdotter Rysstad. He had siblings Targjerd Torjussen Rysstad, Helga Torjusdotter Rysstad, Inger Torjusdotter Rysstad, Ingeborg Torjusdotter Rysstad, and Vilborg Torjusdotter Rysstad. Aanund was baptized on October 16, 1898 at Moland-Herad.
