Beccie Major

Beccie was the daughter of George Major and the granddaughter of John Major & wife Mary Polly Gault of Knox County, Tennessee. Her father sold the property he inherited from his father and moved his family to Arkansas; however, he came back to Knox County on several occasions to visit his sister (my g-grandmother Elizabeth Major who married John C. Cox). This old photo was found in the trunk of my g-aunt Harriet S. Cox Walker & provided by her granddaughter. Several letters also have been found that my aunt Harriet exchanged with this part of the family over several years in the late 1800's.
