Ben Wittick - The Wild West
Ben Wittick was an American photographer who was hired to document the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad's 1878
expansion into New Mexico.
He left his wife and six children in Illinois and traveled until 1883. This 1882 photo was taken in Zuni, New Mexico and is entitled "our party". There are plenty of women and children in the traveling party - I wonder why his remained at home?
