Burt Nichols

This picture was taken at the Steward studio in Granite Falls, Minnesota. I am trying to find out more about him. He is my great,great grandfather and don't know much about him. He lived in Flora, Renville CO., Minnesota from censuses from 1870 - 1885 and it says he was born in New York abt. 1833 and he married Catherine Dolan and they had 5 children all born in Minnesota. please help! Its been a brick wall.
