Carl “Charlie” Gustave Stecks (10 Mar 1884 Seward, Nebraska - 20 Jan 1956 North Little Rock, Pulaski, Arkansas) was the son of Frederick Carl Stecks (14 Apr 1850 Schleswig-Holstein, Germany - 24 Jun 1910 Fairfield, Spokane Co., WA) and Rosaline “Rosa” Anna Irmer (03 Jun 1862 Prussia, Germany - 10 Aug 1936 Fairfield, Spokane Co., WA). Rose and Fred, emigrated separately from Germany to Nebraska.



Minnie Pauline Elizabeth Bock (9 Jun 1885 IL - 22 Aug 1977 England, AR) was the daughter of William Henry (Wilhelm Heinrich) Bock (25 Jun 1849 Prussia, Germany - 03 Feb 1938 Ulum, Arkansas Co., Arkansas) and Matilda (Mathelde) Ida Hartman (ca. 1855 Illinois - 18 May 1898 Almyra, Arkansas Co., Arkansas). William emigrated in 1867 from Schaumburg-Lippe, District of Germany and to Campbell Hill, Jackson County, IL and became a blacksmith in Cook County, Illinois. They migrated to Arkansas in 1891. Matilda’s parents, Hans Heinrich Hartmann and Elemora Waldemar, emigrated from Germany in 1854.

Minnie married Carl Gustave Stecks on 10 Jul 1904 in Crocketts Bluff, Arkansas. Issue: William Henry, Living Son (C.F.S.), Ervin Gustave and Living Daughter (E.L.S.). Charlie ran a lumber crew on the White River and Minnie ran the cook tent. They migrated to Stuttgart where he farmed. Burial: Roselawn Memorial Park, Little Rock, AR.
