Story goes that the king "wore the yellow star in support of the Danish Jews during the Nazi occupation of Denmark". Some claim this is a fictional story, however, the King and the Danish people were supportive of their Jewish neighbors and their resistance efforts save the majority of Danish Jews from persecution and death.
