Claude John Simmons and wife, Nancy Hanks Marrs. Nancy was born 20 Apr 1890 in Webster Co., Kentucky, died 4 Apr 1967 in Christopher, Franklin Co., Illinois. She is the daughter of Mulkey Watts Marrs. She is buried in Harrison Cemetery, Christopher, Franklin Co., Illinois.

Claude and Nancy are the parents of Vaughnie Ecton Simmons and Corinne Elizabeth Simmons. They also reared their niece, Almeta Merle Marrs from approximately one years old.

Family legend tells that Nancy punctured her lips with an ink pen, inadvertantly giving herself a tattoo. She had blue lips! ... show more
