Dan Hill was the son of James & Rebecca (Hartley) Hill, born Feb. 20, 1870 in Crawford Co, WI. He married Ellen Frances "Ella" Hounsell, daughter of Marwood & Francis Ann (Pierce) Hounsell. Dan died Jan. 12, 1957, and Ella died in 1950 (b. 1874). They are both buried at North Clayton Cemetery in Soldiers Grove, Crawford Co, WI.
