He married Anna Linnea Fredrica Thallender, and they were married until Edward's death circa 1957. He had children Stanley McManus, Carol Boysen, George E. McManus, Grace E. McManus, and Donald McManus. Edward Mcmanus was buried circa 1957 at Fairview Cemetery 1100 E Broad St, in Westfield, Union Co. County, NJ.
