Annie Ferrell (Sessums) Coats was born on August 9, 1904 to Lewis Solomon Sessums and Senie Abolonie Condasie (Massengale) Sessums, and had siblings William Mertis Sessums, Louis Carleton Sessums, Mary Virgie Sessums, Easter J Sessums, Minnie Lee (Sessums) French, Gladys Tilda Sessums, and Grady Sessums. She married Ervin Coats, and had a child Donald Earl Coats. Annie Coats died at age 96 years old on July 7, 2001, and was buried at Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church Rigdon Rd, in Union, Mississippi United States. Services were held Saturday, October 24 at Erin Chruch for Ervin Coats, 76, of Rt 2, Union. Mr Coats died Thursday, October 22, in his home. Rev. A. B. Gillis and Rev. John Holder officiated the 2:00 services. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Stephens Union Guneral Home was in charge of arrangements. Ervin belonged to Lucern Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife:Mrs. Annie Ferrell Coats, 1 son:Rev. Donald Earl Coats and his wife Faye and 2 grandchildren: Donald Ray Coats and Lisa Coats all of Union, Ms. and 1 sister:Mrs. Effie Farned of Frankston, Tx.
