Jasper and Matalette Vannier Williams

Matilda Obannon was the name we were led to believe was the original name of our Great Grandmother. Actually her name was Matalette Vannier and she was called Talette for short for Matalette. She was a young girl of 12 when she married William Jasper Williams on the banks of Cane River in Louisiana. She is the mother of my Mother's father, Joseph Newton Williams, My Ggrandmother. If anyone has information on her origin, or a common ancestor please notify me. She was the daughter of Francios Vannier from Canada and the sister of a Charles Vannier that married Norcissus?
