Swarts was Born 1-4-1842 in OH.Son of Asberry Swarts (born PA) & Sarah Elder. He enlisted in the Civil war 1-31-1865 (Union)was a member of the G.A.R. married Mary Noland 2-11-1864 & had 6 kids: Sarah C.,Semilda E."Nellie",William H., Rachael A., Ettie M., & Clarence A.
