judge John Douglass Haynes

John Douglas Haynes was born February 12, 1812 in the state of New York. On October 21, 1840 he married Louisa Plummer in Dearborn County, Indiana. She was a daughter of Daniel and Lucy Smith Plummer. John Douglass Haynes died on March 13, 1886 and is buried in the Wilmington Cemetery, Hogan Township, Dearborn County, Indiana. John Douglass Haynes was an attorney practicing in the city of Aurora, Indiana. He was also the first mayor of Aurora. The couple John and Louisa had six or more children.
