Looking West, A Close-Up of the Tombstone of Elizabeth Melissa (Carl) Murray (1856-1918), Wife of James Ellison Murray
I wish to thank Carli Robinson (and her husband) of the Twin Falls, Idaho LDS Family History Center for going out to the Buhl Cemetery and taking the four pictures here showing me where both Melissa and her son, James Ellsworth Murray were buried, i.e., in Section B, Block 1, Lots 24, Space 8 (Melissa) and 25, Space 5 (James), and informing me that James had no marker. This particular picture is a close-up of the beautifully colored tombstone, showing the design, with stars in the upper right and left corners, and a flying dove carrying an olive branch, above the inscription. One can also see the name "MURRAY" inscribed across the top of the tombstone. Elizabeth Melissa was the daughter of Wilson and Elizabeth (Swickard) Carl of Ohio to whom sixteen children in all were born. For more information, see my sites bcarl 9 and 27 on www.rootsweb.com.
