The Casey photos on this page are amazing! The likeness to my Casey family is incredible. My Casey branch migrated to North Alabama (Winfield, AL, Fayette,AL, and Birmingham, AL. Would love to hear from this family of Caseys as the resemblance is unbelievable. George Henry Casey looks like my grandfather. Their noses were the same, and I have the same nose. We always called it "the Casey nose".
George Henry was born in New Albany, IN in 1825. His family was in Concordia, LA for a few years during the Civil War as a steam boat captain. Two children were born there. I have absolutely no information about his parents, so maybe there could be a connection somewhere along the line. The rest of his life before and after the Civil War was spent in and around Cincinnati.
