Robert & Elizabeth Seitz, Oklahoma
Robert "Lee" Seitz and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Seitz: I took this picture of my paternal grandparents in their home in Eldorado, Jackson County, Oklahoma, in approximately 1968. My grandmother rarely smiled in pictures and for this reason, this is a special picture to the family. The couple had 5 sons and lived in Mobeetie, Texas, farming and then they moved to Eldorado, Oklahoma. They are buried in the Eldorado Cemetery.

This is how I remember Uncle Lee and Aunt Lizzie. Uncle Lee used to kid us a lot and told us "stories". He told us that our cousins had "garments" on their backs and that they ate old dead cows. We argued with him that it could not be true!! Aunt Lizzie was serious minded and a lot of fun at the same time!!

Not long after I married, my husband and I visited them. They still had an outhouse. Fred, my husband, went out to the outhouse. Aunt Lizzie said, "I wonder what he would do if I went out and knocked on the door!" Mother and I doubled over with laughter. Of course she didn't carry out with the threat!!
