Sarah and Aaron Heading Beck
A photo of Aaron Heading Beck and wife Sarah. Aaron was born in 1833 in Indian Territory, Oklahoma. He was the son of Jeffrey Beck and Emily Duncan and the brother of my great grand father David M. Beck Sr.
Aaron served in the Confederacy during the Civil War and was a member of the Cherokee Mounted Rifles.
Aaron Beck is buried on the Hildebrand Mill property along with many others. Most do not have a tombstone, although Aaron does. Aaron was part owner of the mill after Stephen Hildebrand died. He got full ownership after Mary was killed in 1872. He started to mill lumber also along with milling flour. After the flood in the 1890s he rebuilt it and it continued to be run by him till his death. His son Richard ran the local grocery store. John Anthony Beck the son of Aaron & brother of Richard then ran
