    Grandpa Waltemath was the husband of Doris Emmett-Waltemath [deceased]; the father of two sons; William E. Waltemath & James E. Waltemath [both deceased]; the brother of Charles H. Waltemath & Ruth Waltemath Porter [both deceased]; and the brother of several other brothers & sisters who passed away before we were born; the grandfather of Randy Tad Waltemath; Rebecca Ann Waltemath [of NW Colorado]; and the grandfather of David E. Waltemath & Diane Sue Waltemath [both of Phoenix, AZ} who all still survive. He was also the uncle to many nieces & nephews, too many to list here. This Time Capsule of our grandfather is being done on Oct. 2, 2013 so future generations may know about his life.

Edgar Hoover, at the age of 29, was appointed the sixth director of the Bureau of Investigation by Calvin Coolidge (which later became the Federal Bureau of Investigation). The Bureau had approximately 650 employees, including 441 Special Agents. A former employee of the Justice Department, Hoover accepted his new position on the proviso that the bureau was to be completely divorced from politics and that the director report only to the attorney general.
