Chris Wilson My great grandfather, James E. Boatwright, was shot and killed at a 4th of July picnic in 1904 by some fellow by the last name "Macafee", I don't know if this is spelled right. My mother is not sure why, but says gr. grandpa was a fiddler and was setting up with his band to play some tunes for entertainment when this man just walked up and shot him. She says after Macafee shot my gr. grandpa, he ran up "Brush Creek" (MO) and was never heard from again. This all happened in Mill Spring, Wayne County, Missouri. Please send info. if you have any!

Chris Wilson My gr. gr. gr. grandmother's name was Elizabeth (Barton) Johnson and gr. gr. gr. grandfather's name was William Merideth Johnson. They lived in Black River, Missouri which is in Reynolds County. Winnie died in 1963 at 98 years old. I did not know her, but she is supposedly 1/2 Cherokee indian and her ancestors were survivors of the Trail Of Tears, moving from Georgia to Oklahoma, then later, settling in south-eastern Missouri. If you have any info., please email me! I would love to find out who my Native American ancestors were!

Amanda Stallsworth My mother's mom was Elizabeth Ann Boatright. She married Resner. At the age of 15, she passed away giving birth to twins, Catherine and Kathleen. My mother, Catherine, was the only survivor. Hugh Carl Boatright was Elizabeth's father. My mom knew nothing about her family until she was alot older. I have been researching the family line for her for years. Unfortunatly, my mom passed away in April 2005. But I still search for our family lineage.

I resently found out that Jesse Stinson Boatright is my great-great-great-great-great grandfather. My mom wanted to know about the indian heritage that we might be carrying in our bloodline. Hopefully I find this info.
