The Chipper history dates back to 1200 approximately in England but with disconnected in terms of family connections.

The earliest ancestor traceable with family connections is Thomas CHIPPER, Blacksmith of Angmering and Findon, Sussex, England. Born abt. 1560, died 10 May 1631. He married three times and had eight children.

From that area, the family spread south to West Tarring and the surrounding areas, and Somerset and Gloucester.

In 1829, John Chipper migrated to Perth, Western Australia and started the Australian branch of the family.

The family also spread to the United States and Canada but I haven't traced yet the original immigrants.
