Elston Family History & Genealogy

my dad was sydney william elston born 5th march 1919 in sydney.he married rose lila joan mullanphy when he was about 24yrs old he became the father of Rosemary 1945,Marion 1946;Irene 1947;Edith 1947 and Joy 1962.He served with the RAAF during WW2 and served in civilian life with Central District ambulance,working for Dept of Motor Transport until 1979 when he retired.Dad passed away in August 2000.

Jacob ELSTON & Freelove HURON had children in New York children, Abraham, Malinda, & Truman D.
J & F bought a farm in Romulus, Wayne County, Michigan about 1836, when the parents died, the sons bought it amongst each other on a land Contract, until the Oldest Abraham moved to Barrien County, in West- Michigan married ONDERKIRK and had 8 children, Malinda married John HISSCCK, & lived near Detroit, Truman D. married Almira PARRISH and lived in Brownstown a.k.a Brown City, Wayne County, Mich. and had 3 children Lovina, Charlotte, and Lewis; Lovina married Levi MAGEE a Traveling Minister in Michigan, Charlotte died young, and Lewis:

MY Great-Grand Father - Lewis married Cynthia LEARY, her parents were Walter LEARY & Mary Frances BOARDMAN, Walter left England in 1836 to eventially Ann Arbor, then Locke Twp. Ingham
County, Mich.
Lewis Cynthia and Almirra are buried in "Rowley Cemetary", Locke Twp.
< North of Webberville, > Ingham County, Michigan as are several of Cynthia's sibblings, and
Parents. Mary Boardman's parents are buried a few miles north in "Bell Oak Cemetery".
The Father: Truman D. may be buried in Cass, county, Mich, but i have not learned exactly where he was buried as the son did not tell us where he buried his dad, he may have been a
Civil war deserter that came back to Detroit. The Wife Almirra died in 1874 Truman in 1876.

and had Daniel W., Truman D., and Ralph walter, Daniel marr. Ivah BROOKS and lived in Tyrone
Twp. Genesee County, Mich. near Parrshallville, Livingston Co., Mich My grand-parents

Daniel, once ate spoiled chicken, his mother's sister a Maria MARTIN of Williamston, fed him chicken soup etc. until he almost grew feathers, but survived, at age 26. later marring Ivah
a Widow, who had survived 15 years, with three children; She having raised chickens and their eggs to sell. Ivah & Dan had 1 one son (My Father) she at age 42 dan at age 46.

Myself the second son of Twins Dennis E., brother Daniel L., and a younger brother Keith A.
