He enlisted in the US Army on June 27, 1945, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, during the final stages of World War II. He served his country for less than two months before being honorably discharged on August 15, 1945.
After his service in the Army, Calvin returned to civilian life, settling in Ralls, Texas, where he lived until his passing. He was a devoted husband, father, and member of his community.
Calvin Coolidge Holley passed away on February 10, 2000, in Ralls, Crosby County, Texas, at the age of 81.
