History

The surname Marceno originated in Palermo, Italy. Many families migrated to the United States (due to financial problems), settling in New York and some parts of Massachusetts. The Italian Renaissance brought the Marceno family out of the dark, in a way. They were so used to hiding from the "normal" ways of the traditional Catholic families around them, that the Italian Renaissance was a gateway for the Marceno family. The "New Age" caused them to dig deep into their religion, and gain a higher education.
