My maternal grandfather was called James Valentine Marston and was born in Melbourne. He had a twin brother called Jim. James moved to New Zealand to work in the coal mines in Glen Afton. He married Elsie West of Kumara in the South Island of New
Zealand and they had nine surviving children. Chronologically - Jim, Hazel, May, Joyce, Melva, Elsie, Dawn, Daphne and William.

My entire paternal family is from the West Kennebec area outside of Machias, Maine. My grandfather was Norman Percival Marston. His brothers were David and Gifford (no offspring). Sisters were Annie, Edna, Elizabeth and Maude that I know of. There is a Marston family cemetery on the property at the end of the road into West Kennebec that contains most of the members I gave except for Elizabeth.
