He joined the Army & received a Doctorate of Medicine. His neurosurgical residency was done at Cooke County Hospital in Chicago, IL. On a train stop in Asheville, NC, he fell in love with the area and settled there. He was married to his first wife I do not know her name, he had a son, Ray..This marriage ended in divorce, they moved to California. He met his second wife over an operating room table. She was a nurse named Margaret Ann Roberts from West Asheville. He lived for awhile in Oak Forrest as he designed his home in Biltmore Forrest. He had 5 boys. Michael, Scott, (Cameron), Brad & Jeff; all still living. Mike married (oddly) a Campbell. (Renee) & had a son, Ryan. This ended in divorce. Mike has remarried, I do not know her name. Scott has not married. I was married to Melissa Margaret Farmer, had 2 children, Morgan & Jordan. Brad married Angela (blanking on last name) & has one child, Olivia. Jeff was married to Ondina McConnell. I believe this marriage ended in divorce. -Know Thyself -To Thine Own Self Be True -Treat Others As You Would Like To Be Treated He spent his life serving others on the highest level in their darkest hour.. The book (not the movie) Against All Odds was written about a skier that suffered a near fatal accident, the surgeon was my father. He was also a pioneer in cryosurgery.
