Olaseha means wealth surrounds me and my household, it is emanated from Ondo dialect, and the grandfather of this present generation was Bashua Oyenusi Olasegha the son of Mope, the tenth wife of the first Adaja of Ondo kingdom. He was a very close friend to the then king of Ondo kingdom in the 19th century, so his friends decided to nickname him and gave him the name 'O-BO-BA-SHUA', which means he rules nd manages the palace and the kingdom with the king. The name 'OBOBASHUA' is an Ondo language. Olasegha is the real surname of our fore fathers, but we the generation of BASHUA OYENUSI OLASEGHA decided to use the two names (BASHUA OLASEGHA) as our surname. In addition, some of the Olaseghas has changed their surname to their real father's name, e.g the OLANUBIs and host of others. Moreover some of the OGUNSULIRE'S family are also OLASEGHA'S family through their mother.
