Terri Jean (Daly) Regan
Terri J. Regan (formally Terri Jean Daly ) 72, of Kennebunk, ME passed away peacefully on Sunday May 17, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Seal Rock healthcare in Saco, ME. Terri was born in Biddeford, ME on Sept 02, 1942, daughter of Thelma and Thomas Daly and sister to Thomas Jeremiah (Jerry) Daly. She was a 1960 graduate of Biddeford High School and received a Bachelor’s of Education from Springfield College in 1964 and then a Master’s of Education at University of Maine Orono. Terri taught Physical Education in a distinguished 36 year career at Wells High School. She was also one of the first female high school Athletic Directors in Maine. Through the years she coached field hockey, basketball, softball and track and field. She was a popular coach with her team affectionately known as “Regan’s Renegades”. Over several summers she managed the day camp at Paradise Park, Old Orchard Beach. She was inducted into the Wells High School Hall of Fame in 2004. Her work in coaching field hockey in particular led her to being inducted into the Maine Field Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009. Terri was married to Robert M. Regan on March 31, 1966 and shared a loving home in Kennebunk where they raised their daughter Susan. The Regans are a close knit family spending much of their summer with at Mother’s Beach, Kennebunk or with their extended family on Balch Lake, Acton, ME. Terri was a very proud grandmother of Abigail and Natalie, always following their many activities and entertaining them in Kennebunk. Terri enjoyed all sports and could be frequently seen supporting local high school events in the area. She was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles and was a social card player with her network of friends. While her summers were spent in Kennebunk, she enjoyed winters in Anna Maria Island, FL. She spent several years in retirement as a snowbird and loved playing with her granddaughters on the beach at Anna Maria. Terri was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Thelma Daly. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert Regan, daughter Susan Orr, son-in-law Adrian and two granddaughters Abigail and Natalie of Needham, MA. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Daly, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Barbara and Robert Lee, John and Elaine Regan and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk. Burial at a later date in Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Springvale. Robert Michael Regan
Robert Michael Regan of Kennebunk, age 77, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2018 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He was born in Biddeford on May 26, 1941, the son of John Matthew and Elizabeth Regan of Old Orchard Beach. Bob grew up in Old Orchard Beach and graduated from high school in 1960. He was drafted to serve in the Army with the First Air Calvary in 1963. After advanced training at Fort Benning, GA, he was stationed in South Vietnam during the early days of the Vietnam War. He was involved in the battle of la Drang Valley, which was documented in the book and movie We Were Soldiers Once, And Young. Bob received a purple heart and was honorably discharged in 1965. Bob married Terri Jean Daly in 1966. They settled in Kennebunk and had a daughter, Susan, in 1969. Bob and Terri enjoyed 49 years of marriage until her passing in May 2015. Returning from the war, Bob worked for his father-in-law at Daly Brothers in Biddeford. He then joined the U.S. Postal Service in Portland and was a loyal worker for over 40 years until he retired. After his retirement, Bob and Terri spent several winters as snowbirds in Anna Maria Island, FL. Bob enthusiastically supported the local high school athletics teams. As an avid sports fan, particularly of basketball, baseball, football, and horse racing, he would go to Kennebunk, Wells, or Old Orchard Beach sporting events. Bob deeply valued his family and spent a lot of time with both his brother and sister in Old Orchard Beach. He enjoyed many evenings on his childhood home’s porch (now his sister’s house) talking with them, and whoever else happened to join them. Bob will be remembered for his contentedness with life, his laid back approach to almost everything, and his sense of humor. Bob was happiest spending time with his family, watching sports, and living near the beach. He loved having his granddaughters visit him in Maine, and since 2015, he lived part of the year with Susan and her family in Needham, MA. It filled him up to be involved with his granddaughters, going to their soccer and basketball games, playing games with them, and picking them up at the bus stop. Bob is survived by his daughter. He is also survived by his sister and brother. Interment at Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery.

Timothy Regan came to the US in the late 1830's. He married Margaret Power. They both lived in Watertown and Newton, Massachusetts. Timothy was born in the early 1820's. Margaret was born around the sme time within a couple of years. My great grandfather was Daniel J Regan/wife Anne Beatty. My grandfather was Joseph W Regan/wife was Mary Cluney and my father was James K Regan/wife Grace W. Harrington. My grandfather Joseph Regan and my Grandmother, Mary Cluney, began a book bindery business called the Watertown Bindery, Inc. 77 Spring Street, Watertown, MA. I am looking for anything that anyone has to share especially photos and stories.
