He was an award winning football player in high school (Traywick Award, 1977 & 1979) in the Houston area setting records for most touchdowns scored on offense (1977, 1978, & 1979) while simultaneously recording the most interceptions on defense (1978).
Before walking on to play football under coach Tom Wilson his freshman year at Texas A&M (College Station) he decided to put all his efforts on academics majoring in Physics earning a College of Science honor award (1979 & 1980). In 1981 he was awarded the Dr Paul Dirac award for his paper on elementary String Theory.

I am looking for family of Joseph and Ida Wiesner from Brooklyn, NY. In 1923 they took in a baby, my grandmother Veronica Reilly, and raised her as a foster child. Joseph and Ida had 3 children of their own, Walter, Frederick and Ruth. It is very important that I find them or their children or cousins or anyone who might have information on Veronica and why she was living with them. It is very important to us and it looks like the only way we are going to find the answers we need is to find the ones who took Veronica in and raised her. We believe that Joseph may have worked with Veronica's grandfather but are not 100% sure of that even so please if you are a grand child of Joseph and Ida or living child of Joseph and Ida and have answer for our family we are not interested in stirring up trouble or controversy, just putting some names on our tree and putting some answers to bed. Thank you so much.
