Introduction

Eliza Mary McGregor immigrated to Australia prior to 1865. She married John Keddy in 1865. They had the following children in Portland, Victoria, Australia, Elizabeth Ellen Keddy b. 1865, Louisa Harris Keddy b. 1868, and Martha Bunklebank Keddy b. 1869. She is found in 1871 in Northamptonshire, England with her three daughters. In 1880 the family is found in Howell, Livingston, Michigan... John Keddy, Eliza Mary, Elizabeth, Louisa, and Martha. They also have two sons, John J. b. 1873 and Thomas J. b. 1875 both born in Michigan. Eliza Jane died before 1893 presumably in Michigan as John Kerry died 1893 and is listed as widowed.

Autocorrect changed Keddy to Kerry. Eliza Mary Weddock's parents were James Weddock and Lucy Kelly. John Keddy's parents were Thomas Keddy and Eliza Burn of Pickering, Yorkshire, England.

I have Eliza Mary Weddock b.1838 Enniskerry, Wicklow, Ireland d. Before 1893 Howell, Livingston, Michigan. She immigrated prior to 1861 from Ireland to Australia and was in the employ of the Bell Family of Heywood, Victoria, Australia. Her first husband John McGregor, also worked for the Bell Family. The witnesses to this marriage (Apr 1861) were James and Henry Bell, twin sons of John Bell. John and Eliza had one known daughter Eliza Jane McGregor in 1863. John died either just before or after the birth of Eliza Jane. Eliza Mary remarried John Kerry in Portland, Victoria, Australia in Mar 1864. In Australia they had three daughter, Elizabeth Ellen, Martha B., and Louisa Keddy. Elizabeth Ellen died at a year old in Australia. In 1871 Eliza Mary, Eliza Jane McGregor, Louisa, and Martha Keddy were in Peterborough, England. Also in Peterborough in 1871 is Thomas Kerry, brother of John Keddy. Next the family is in Howell, Michigan by 1880. John and Eliza Mary had two more children in Michigan, John J. Keddy and Thomas J.
John J. (Jesse) Keddy was my 2nd great-grandfather.
