Emma Bertha (Rossau) Hill was born in 1875 in Hamburg, HH Germany to Carl Wilhelm Adolph Rossau and Henrietta Augusta Rossau ( Gausmann ?, and had siblings Helena Henrietta Matilda Rossau, Frederick William Rossau, Alma Marie Martha Smith ( Rossau, Robert Rossau, and August"Gus" Herman Rossau. She was in a relationship with James Hill, and had a child Emma Ruth (Hill) McLear. Emma Hill died at age 63 years old on May 11, 1939, and was buried at Cheltenham Pioneer Cemetery Charman Rd, in Cheltenham, Bayside City County, VIC Australia.
