  • Professional Career

    Harvey was a professional scam artist, involving many friends in his insurance scams. He would have them claim their cars were broken into in a shopping center parking lot. Harvey would give them receipts for expensive clothes he had purchased to claim on their auto insurance policies, which, in the Late 60's would cover theft from autos. He would return the clothes, and split the insurance reimbursements with his fellow college students. He moved from that to stealing the X-rays from a client of his insurance adjusting employers, who had died from a fall from the top of a drilling rig. He then used these for fake slip and fall accidents in which he had friends who were lawyers and an orthopedic surgeon to testify in court, using those same X-rays, as to his injuries. The judge was the same one who handled his first divorce. Why would a Family Law Judge preside over a slip and fall personal injury case? This was exposed and made the news in 1995 when he was investigated by the FBI, and all the professionals either lost their licenses to practice or retired.
