VARD JORGEN BRODERSON July 17, 1918 ~ December 4, 2013 "He was strong in his faith, enjoyed his work, and was much loved by family and friends." Ivard Jorgen Broderson, 95, retired builder, of Battle Ground, Washington, passed away December 4, 2013. He was born in Grenora, North Dakota on July 17, 1918. Ivard is survived by his wife of 66 years, Miriam; son, Roy (Nancy) Broderson of Battle Ground, Washington; daughters, Kathe (Skip) Amos of Gladstone, Oregon, Cindy (Jody) Pepper of Battle Ground, Washington, Barbara (Mervyn) Raisanen of Belle Fourche, South Dakota and Susan (Murray) Raisanen of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada; daughter-in-law, Kathy Broderson of Palmer, Alaska; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jeanette; sons, John and Peter; brothers, Evan, Haley and Gordan; sisters, Agnes and Esther; one grandson, Robert; and one great-granddaughter, Mya. A funeral service was held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Brush Prairie, 16603 NE 142nd Ave., Brush Prairie, Washington, where Ivard was a member. Viewing was prior to the service. Published in The Columbian, Vancouver, Washington on Dec. 5, 2013
