Marlon Edillor Servo of Cabuyao, Calabarzon Philippines was born on June 29, 1972 to Francisco Servo and Socorro Edillor. He had siblings Marlina Servo, Marvin Servo, Marliza Servo, Maria Teodora Servo, Marion Servo, Marco Servo, MaryJoy Servo, MaryGrace Servo, and Matteo Servo. He married Ma. Joana Casantusan on April 8, 1995 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish 195 National Highway, in Cabuyao, Laguna County, and had children Klaiza Servo, Mico Servo, Renz Servo, Raljon Servo, and Miguel Servo. Marlon Servo died at age 49 years old on June 18, 2022.

In 1972, in the year that Marlon Servo was born, on September 5th, the Palestinian terrorist group Black September, with the assistance of German neo-nazis, kidnapped and killed 11 Israeli athletes at the Olympic Games in Munich. The attackers crept into the Olympic Village and abducted the athletes while they were sleeping. A German policeman was also killed.

In 1980, he was just 8 years old when on April 24th, a rescue attempt was begun in the Iranian Hostage Crisis. The attempt failed and 8 US servicemen were killed. Eight helicopters had been sent for the mission, but only 5 arrived in operating condition., Since the military had advised that the mission be aborted if there were fewer than 6 helicopters, President Carter stopped it. Upon leaving, a helicopter collided with a transport plane and the men were killed.
