Elihue R Abernathy was born November 24, 1921, died November 29, 2011 at the age of 90. He lived in Adairsville, Ga in Bartow County. He was married to Zonnia Ruthell Parris Abernathy on May 10 1941. He had 6 children, Richard Lynn Abernathy, Clyde Ronald Abernathy, James Lamar Abernathy, Carolyn Abernathy, Kenneth Darrell Abernathy, and Jeffory Steven Abernathy. He enlisted in the US Army October 5, 1942 at Fort Mcpherson Atlanta, Ga and served during World War II. He was a very Dedicated Compassionate and Devout Christian and was very Faithful and Obedient to his calling from God to serve as a Minister for over 60 yrs and served as a Pastor for over 35 of those yrs, He was always working and striving to be true to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ first and then to his Family and his Community . He was a very Loving and Caring Husband, Father, Pappaw, and Great Pappaw. He left a great legacy and the memories of him will live on forever through his family and friends. His Children, Grand/Great Grandchildren will forever be Thankful and Grateful for his boundless Love and Compassion he always gave to us. We Love you Daddy with all our heart, always and forever.
