Coneie C Munio, Died Aug 5, 1972 Verona- Coneie C. Munio, 46, of Route 234, died Saturday in a drowning accident at Fish Creek. He was born, July 19, 1926, in Nelson County, Va., the son of Gerard J. and Bertha Reid Munio. He married Velma Champney, July 19, `1952 in the Vernon Methodist Church. The couple lived in Ridge Mills before moving to Verona about 10 years ago. Mr. Munio worked as an assistant therapy aide at the Rome State School and was a school bus driver for the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central School District. He was a World War II Veteran. He was a member of the Verona Methodist Church and Nest 1606, Order of Owls. Surviving besides his mother, Mrs. Bertha Munio of Stokes-Westernville Rd., are two daughters, Misses Laura J and Lynette E. Munio, three sons, Clifford A., Coneie G., and Brian F. Munio, all at home; two brothers, Jerry Lee of Lee Center and T-Sgt. Lloyd F. Munio of North Highland, California; and several nieces and nephews.

Coneie Munio died as a result of drowning as did his wife, Velma L. Champney Munio. His niece and nephew also drowned. The children were Sheryl and William C Smolter. The tragic accident happened in Fish Creek in the area of Oneida, New York.
