Gabor Motuz 1933 - 1989

Gabor Motuz of Port Reading. NJ was born on September 18, 1933 in Bajót Hungary. He was married to Paula (Tamàs) Motúz on March 26, 1957 in Perth Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey United States and they later divorced. He had children Gabor Motúz Jr and Brenda Ann (Motúz) Huff. Gabor Motuz died at age 55 years old on February 12, 1989 at Bajót. Hungary.

Introduction

Came to American in 1956 escaping the Hungarian Revolution landing in Camp Kilmer which is in NJ. Met & married Paula Tamás on March 26, 1957 who also escaped from Hungary in 1956. They had 2 children 1st was a son Gabor Motúz Jr. born on October 18, 1958 in Perth Amboy NJ and then a daughter Brenda Ann Motúz-Huff born on March 20, 1961 also in Perth Amboy NJ. He was an active member of the Hungarian-American Club where he enjoyed playing soccer & was extremely proud of his Hungarian heritage. Moving his family from NJ to Henrietta, NY, Marion, Indiana & Wheeling, Illinois all before settling back down in Metuchen, NJ which was the last family move in 1974 for his Supervisory positions with Metro, Thatcher, & Ball Glass. Divorced sometime in the early 1980’s. Living out his life in Port Reading, NJ where he resided with his lady friend. Early February 1989 was his first trip home to Hungary since the passing of his parents one after another in the 1970’s. He went back home for a extended vacation and on February 12, 1989 passed away from a massive coronary. A family church funeral was held in his home town of Bajót, Hungary upon the arrival of his two children where after he was cremated and has resided with his daughter in Parlin, NJ to date.

His passing was too early and very unexpected he was only 56yrs old…. In the middle of his prime. Unfortunately he never got to meet is only grandchild born February 4, 1992 to his daughter named Anthony Gabór Huff paying homage to the loving father he was.
