Still Missing Her To This Day
Madeline Cordero, or Maddie as she was to me, was one of my best friends. She was the most beautiful person I knew, both inside and out. When she passed away, I was pregnant with my son, who will be turning 15 this month. I can't believe she has been gone from my life for so many years. Her children were the most important thing in the world to her, and she loved them deeply in the short amount of time she got to spend with them.

I've never had another friend like Madeline. She was truly one of a kind. To her family: Carlos, Miriam, Joel, Willy, Jabez and Angelise (please forgive me if I spelled that incorrectly): I think of all of you often, and the loss you've suffered. Madeline made a big impact on my life in a very positive way, and not a day goes by that I don't miss her. May God bless you all.

Hi, my name is William Acevedo Ayala. Madeline Cordero is a beautiful person. She did her best to save my life from robberies, stabbing/harming people, and wrong doing (as i did a lot of drinking and smoking). Unfortunately, i did not listen to her, and ended up in prison for double homicide, doing a 40 year prison sentence. Even with all that i was going through, the courts, two food riots in Cumberland county jail 1994, stabbing other inmates, Madeline never gave up on me, she continued to come visit me and write me because she loved me and believed that i can change my life around. When she died in the hospital i was devastated and requested the correction officer in Riverfront state prison, Camden NJ 2007 to lock me up and keep me in isolation for a couple of days, until i get my thoughts together. Madeline gave me hope and inspiration while i was in jail and her lose really hurted me because she believed in me. I think of Madeline offen, she is one of the reasons i am the man today. Amen!
