Catherine ( Kate) Valentine

My dad's birth mother Catharine (Kate) Valentine never told anyone about Raymond Schweinberg. She put Charles Raley on my dad's original birth record but DNA tests said Raymond was the birth father. I find it interesting that Catherine and Raymond are both buried in the same cemetery with their spouses. They are also both on Find a Grave and Catherine named her daughter
Margaret. Raymond's mother's name was Margaret too.

He was my father's birth father. I learned this from DNA testing. My dad Bernard (Buddie) Paul Valentine was born out of wedlock in 1924. He died in Hollywood, California from alcoholism in 1976. He worked as a barber and also played trumpet. He was in his high school band and served in the 13th jungle army air force band in the South Pacific. His birth mother was Catherine ( Kate) Valentine. She told him she was his birth mother when he was 20. My dad never knew Raymond. He was adopted and raised by his aunt and uncle John and Edith Valentine of North Braddock, Pennsylvania.
