My Grandma, Willie Beatrice Moore Saxon
She was a hard woman. Hard working and hard loving.
She liked to keep to herself, rarely visited with anyone outside the family. She did love her family.
She only had a 9th grade education (because that's all women needed back then, or so she was told) but she was one of the smarted people on this earth.
She read all the time, she taught herself many things and was good at all of them.
Her father arranged for her to marry Harry Carter Saxon. She wasn't thrilled with the union but accepted it.
My Grandfather died from diabetes and alcoholism on 10-3-1955. I was born on 10-25-55, my Grandma told me that I pulled her through.
All my life my Grandma was a constant in my life, my only constant and I loved her above all others, she was always there for me. No matter if I got a spanking or a hug, with her I knew I was loved.
