She was mother to one child, Desiree G. Salgado. Cynthia was a good mom who loved her daughter she did her best at taking care of her. She loved giving to others in need. She hated asking for anything . Her dream was to be a paratrooper after she got out of basic training from the US ARMY. She was so young when she left this world and she will always be remembered. Cynthia Louise Gutierrez passed away on July 22, 1987 and is buried at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Published in the Albuquerque Journal Newspaper ( Albuquerque, New Mexico) on Thursday July 23, 1987: GUTIERREZ-Cynthia L. Gutierrez, 23, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away early Wednesday following an auto accident in Gallup, NM. She is survived by a daughter, Desiree G. Salgado; her mother-in-law, Delia Salgado; one brother, Joe Gutierrez; and four sisters, Carol Gutierrez, Mary Ann Ruiz, Gloria Lovato and Luisa Gutierrez, all of Albuquerque; her grandmother, Flora Smith of Belen, NM. Cynthia was a member of the Victory Love Church and the National Guard. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced later. The Garcia Mortuary, 8th and Stover SW, in charge of service arrangements.
