He married Lucille Theodora (Schmidt) Doxey on October 25, 1957 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, and had children Jacquelyn (Doxey) Scott, T. Anne (Doxey) Black, and Debra (Doxey) Simmers. Robert Doxey died at age 76 years old on November 7, 2008 in East Aurora, Erie County, NY, and was buried in East Aurora.

He was married to the love of his life, Lucille T. (Schmidt) Doxey for over 50 years. They raised three lovely daughters. He was a wonderful musician: pianist, organist, singer and performer. He did several theater productions and also performed an act based on Victor Borge all around the country. He also enjoyed sports, his favorite being tennis and played tennis his whole life!

My dad was a truly special person with many talents and extreme faith. He was compassionate, kind, loving, humorous, musical and all around nice guy. As a Pastor, he was a fabulous 'shepherd' to all who needed it! He will always be missed.
