Introduction

Adam P. Eckroth was a well-liked man who worked hard and played hard. He grew up on a farm near Fort Rice, ND with his mom, dad, and siblings. When old enough he joined the army and served in Germany during the Korean war. As part of his service he was an MP. He worked various jobs, but ultimately was a Pipefitter where he traveled much for his work with his buddies Al Johnson and others. He was known as being a strong man. He boxed some in the military. He loved to hunt and fish. After working all week he would come home to his family in Mandan then take them out fishing on the Missouri River near Fort Rice where he grew up. He also got excited when it was hunting season, particular deer season. As noted above, he was a hard working man who loved to have a good time. He loved his family and worked hard to provide for them. He married Phyllis. They had 3 children - Lenore, LeAnn, and Adam Wayne (Jr.).
