Amos Ahls of Carlyle, Clinton County, Illinois was born on November 17, 1890 to Alex Ahls and Effie Jane Smith Ahls. He had a brother William Ahls. He married Pearl M (Osborne), and had children Beulah Ahls, Ralph Ahls, Arthur Ahls, Ardel Ahls, and Florence Marie Ahls. Amos Ahls died at age 75 years old in July 1966 in Carlyle.
