Betty F. Nason, 78 SPRINGVALE -- Betty F. Nason, 78, a lifelong resident of Springvale, passed away on Saturday March 14, 2009 at the Newton Center in Sanford. She was born in Springvale on Sept. 10, 1930, a daughter of Charles E. and Rufina L. (Hobbs) Nason. She attended local schools and then studied at Zion College in Rhode Island. For many years she was employed in the local shoe shops, dress shops and retired from Jagger Brothers. She is survived by one sister, Jackie Hutchins of Acton; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Springvale. Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
