1928 - By the time he was only 5 years old, Mickie Mouse was born! He first appeared in Disney's Steamboat Willie, along with Minnie. They fulfilled the promise of President Kennedy's commitment in 1961 to put a man on the moon before the end of the decade.

1995 - When he was 72 years old, on October 16th, the Million Man March took place on the National Mall in Washington DC. The March was organized to address "the ills of black communities and call for unity and revitalization of African American communities". An estimated 850,000 people attended.
