Introduction

Clarence Merrifield Littlefield's ancestors founded the Wells/Moody area of Maine in the 1700's. He and his wife (Mary) Ruth had no children. He and Ruth lived in Wakefield, MA, but spent as much time as they could on the "farm" in Moody. Part of Route 9 in Wells/Moody is named after him. His wife, known as Ruth was my mother's first cousin and best friend (Elma Alice Godfrey Nourse).

This is Clarence Merrifield Littlefield, who married Mary Ruth Morrison (1910 - 1991), known as Ruth. See the entry at Find-A-Grave.

Clarence's g-g-g-grandparents helped settle Wells (Moody), Maine. Ruth and Clarence are buried at Ocean View Cemetery, York County, ME.

I spent many happy summer vacations at their farm in Moody when I was a child. They were my cousins. The farmhouse has been restored and is now an historic site. Route 9 in Wells is named Clarence Merrifield Littlefield Road.

I would like to get in touch with the person who added Clarence's name at this site.
